Emily is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 5 years of clinical experience working in a variety of settings, including social service agencies, hospitals, research and the Providence VA Medical Center (PVAMC). Her specialties include the treatment of anxiety, anger management, depression, trauma, substance abuse, stress and adjustment issues.
Additionally, Emily has expertise working with military personnel who may be experiencing deployment-related issues, including readjustment, substance abuse, PTSD, MST, guilt, anger and family issues related to deployment(s).
Emily follows an integrated approach to therapy, implementing a combination of techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and motivational interviewing to best suit the needs of the individual. Emily is a sincere and caring therapist who believes fully in the client’s ability to make improvements in their life by learning new skills and developing a stronger sense of resiliency.
Emily received her MA and CAGS from Rhode Island College and her BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Emily is currently available on Mondays and Saturdays and accepts BCBS and United. Other insurances: Tufts, Neighborhood Health Plan of RI and Tricare are pending. Individual sessions are available for adult clients only. To schedule an appointment please fill out the form below or call the office.
