Sarah is a RI Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 16 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. Sarah treats a variety of client issues, including anxiety and depression, while fostering meaningful change through her therapeutic approach. Sarah provides a safe and supportive environment where clients are empowered to feel through difficult emotions and move toward their most meaningful goals. Her work is based in mindfulness, and incorporates her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and body-centered psychotherapy.
In addition to being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Sarah is a RI Certified Special Education Teacher. She has extensive experience working as a high school English teacher for 7 years, 2 years as a clinician in a community mental health center, and 7 years as a school counselor at the Met school. In her work she has utilized expressive modalities, including poetry, journaling, and art.
