Casey Arena, LMHC, LCDP, PMH-C is a licensed mental health counselor who works with adults navigating addiction and recovery, anxiety, mood concerns, trauma, co dependence, and major life transitions. She also supports caregivers and caregiving professionals who are managing stress, burnout, and the emotional demands of caring for others.
Casey also has specialized training in perinatal mental health and works with mothers and fathers during pregnancy and the period after childbirth. This includes support from conception through pregnancy and into the first year (and sometimes beyond) after a baby is born--a time when many parents experience heightened emotional and mental health challenges. Her work in this area focuses on helping parents feel supported, understood, and grounded during a vulnerable and transformative season.
Casey takes a person-centered and integrative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each individual's needs and goals. She blends mindfulness with evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. In her addiction and recovery work, she uses the stages of change model and welcomes clients who participate in 12-step programs, viewing therapy as a supportive complement to peer and community support.
